Terms & Conditions

Caravan Rentals

All prices are correct at the time of publication; however, we reserve the right to alter or amend our published prices so long as you are notified before booking and are subject to availability.  Our tariffs include VAT at the applicable rate, and we reserve the right to amend our prices to reflect any change in the rate of VAT or if any new taxes, levies or duties are imposed on your holiday.

Coronavirus – (Covid-19) Cancellation Policy
If your holiday is cancelled as a result of a Lockdown imposed from an outbreak of Coronavirus in the area you are travelling from or in our area then you will be offered :

  1. Refund in Full or transfer to alternative date with proof of a positive Covid-19 test which would result in you isolating during booked dates.
  2. Refund in Full in the event of a Government Mandated Lockdown in our postcode area.
  3. Transfer to Alternative Date in the event of a Government Mandated lockdown in specific areas (NOT covering TA8 postcode), additional costs may be applied if the date moved to is in a higher price tier.

If you choose to transfer, any money paid will be transferred and taken off the new balance due for the dates selected. Additional costs may be incurred if the new bookings arrival date is in a higher price tier.

Your caravan will be available between .00pm and 6.00pm on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 10.00am on the day of departure. If you are arriving after 6pm please contact us at least 24hrs before, Unfortunately NO We reserve the right to re-let caravans if they are not claimed by 6pm unless prior arrangements have been made with us.

You’re booking and then the subsequent contract is made only when your booking is accepted by us.  We require a £50 per person non-refundable deposit to secure your booking.  If your booking is within six (6) weeks of your arrival date, then the balance will be payable in full. We accept no responsibility for mistakes made when booking and paying a deposit over the telephone so please make sure you check your confirmation carefully once received.  We reserve the right to refuse any bookings without explanation and the decision of Hudson Leisure Limited t/a Ocean Holiday Park is final.

Your booking will be confirmed in writing once a deposit has been received.  This could be in the form of an email if an email address is specified.  Email addresses might also be used for marketing purposes by us but WILL NOT be passed onto third parties.

Balance Payment
The balance due on your booking is payable six (6) weeks prior to your arrival date.  You will receive an email informing you when your payment is due, and this date is also shown and advised at the point of booking.  You can pay off lump sums between making your booking and your arrival date by logging into your online account or by calling us on 01278 329098.  If you do not pay any outstanding balance (if any) by the due date we may treat you as having cancelled your booking and the following cancellation policy will apply.

Cancellation by You
If you wish to cancel your booking, you should advise us immediately by telephone and then cancellations must be put into writing. If a confirmed booking is cancelled, you will lose your non-refundable deposit.  If the booking is cancelled after the balance has been paid six weeks prior to your arrival then the following charges will apply:

Up to 6 Weeks prior: 100% of the full amount will be payable

Cancellation by Us
In exceptional circumstances beyond our control (i.e., Damage, Flood Maintenance etc.) we may have to cancel your booking.  If we do so, we will tell you as soon as possible prior to your holiday date and you may either choose to receive a full refund or accept an alternative holiday at the brochure price, but you will have no further claim against us.

Number in Party
We allow a maximum of 4 to 6 people per caravan which is stated when booking.  This includes babies and children.  If maximum occupancy is exceeded, then two caravans must be booked.  No all-male or all female of three (3) or more persons, or mixed groups or large parties are permitted. Families and Couples only.  One person per caravans must be over the age of 18.  We may require you to show proof of age on arrival at the park.  If more than 6 people are found to be staying in one caravan, your booking will be cancelled, and you will be asked to leave.  You will not be entitled to any refund or monies paid for your holiday.  Please note, we retain the right to refuse any booking in our discretion, we consider it right to do so in order to preserve the comfort and enjoyment of other guests.

Special Offers
Special offers and discounts may be offered in conjunction with our published prices.  All discounts and special offers are subject to availability and may be withdrawn without prior notice.  Only one (1) special offer or discount may be added per booking. Special offers and discounts will only be applied if mentioned by you during the booking process or online whilst making your booking and cannot be retrospectively applied.

Alteration to Bookings
Once your booking has been confirmed, any change, however small, will incur a £5 administration charge unless you carry it out online where you can do this for free.  Amendments to your booking are unable to be made upon arrival.

VAT is included at the current rate.

We will try to honour your requests, but we are unable to guarantee these.  Please note special requests do not form part of the booking contract and are not a condition of booking.

The Company and its employees accept no liability for any accident, injury, loss or damage to any persons or property occupying or using any part of the park, however caused. Any person in breach of the booking conditions or park rules, may, at the discretion of the management, be asked to leave. No refund will be given. Any person causing offence to other guests at the park may, at the discretion of the management, be asked to leave. No refund will be given.
The decision of Hudson Leisure Limited t/a Ocean Holiday Park on all the above will be final.

Pets are welcome on site, but the Owners are responsible for the behaviour of their animals. We do not allow on site any breed of dog listed under the Dangerous Dogs act 1991.

We allow a maximum of two (2) dogs per caravan.
No animal is allowed to be loose on site and must be kept on a lead no longer than 2m.  They can run free within the sand dunes and on the beach.

No animals are allowed in the bedrooms or on the seating and must not be left unattended during your stay.  If we find that any animal has been left in the caravans, you will be charged £75.00 from your damages deposit.

Pets should be exercised off site. Owners must ensure that their pets do not foul the site and are responsible for cleaning up after them.  We remind everyone that it is an offence for dogs to foul footpaths and public area’s and ask that all fouling be cleared up immediately.
If it is deemed a pet is creating a nuisance or causing disturbance to others, their owner will be asked to remove them from site.

Fire & Barbeques
No open fires are allowed. Disposal type barbecues are not permitted. Portable barbecues are allowed. Please keep all hot pans, barbecues etc, of the grass.

Noise & Behaviour on park
Please respect other guests and our neighbours and keep noise to a minimum and no noise at all-between the hours of 11.00pm and 8.00am. You must comply with standards of behaviour during your stay and must show consideration for all other patrons on the park. If your behaviour of yourself or your guests is unsatisfactory, then we may elect to terminate this agreement and require you to leave the park immediately. Under these circumstances we will treat your booking as having been cancelled by you from the moment of termination and no refund will be due to you.  The decision of Hudson Leisure Limited t/a Ocean Holiday Park is final.

Accommodation must be left in a clean and tidy condition and cleaning products are supplied for you to do this.  You will be responsible for all damage or loss sustained during your stay.  We or our authorised representative may enter your accommodation at any time for any reasonable purpose.  If we need to do so, we will give you as much notice as possible, except in an emergency.  You will be given an inventory when you arrive and book in which shows all items that we have provided.

Bed Linen and Towels not provided

Smoking Policy
It is illegal to smoke inside enclosed public building.  Smoking is also forbidden inside our caravans.  E-cigarettes are not permitted in enclosed public areas or accommodation either.  If we find there has been smoking inside the caravans, we will charge a £100.00 cleaning charge from your damages deposit.

One vehicle is permitted per caravan and the space will be guaranteed.  Sadly, we do not have additional spaces available.  Cars must be driven with care whilst on the park road and must not exceed 5 mph. Cars must not be washed or maintained on the park. We do not allow commercial vehicles, boats or trailers into the car park.  Please note that the Road Traffic Act applies to all vehicles on the park roads.

Bins are provided for the disposal of your rubbish. Littering of the park and surroundings will not be tolerated. Large items of rubbish must be disposed of off-site.

Parents are responsible for the supervision of their children (anyone under the age of 18) at all times, especially when using the park’s facilities.  You must ensure that a responsible adult always accompanies children

Play Area
Play Area – Parents are responsible for their children at all times. Please refrain from allowing your children to use the play area after 10.00pm.

Ball Games
Ball games – must not be played in the vicinity of any accommodation or bar area.  

We shall not be responsible for any loss that you may suffer as a result of any act or omission by any person who is not employed by us.  We do not accept responsibility if you suffer illness, injury or death on holiday unless it is due to the negligence of our employees.  We accept no responsibility whatsoever for your personal belongings whilst they are anywhere on our park.

Our Service to You
We do everything we can to ensure that you stay with us is as enjoyable as possible, however, occasionally problems can occur.  If they do, please tell a member of staff immediately while you are staying with us, and we will respond to your query as soon as possible.  If any reported matter is not resolved during your stay, the person who made the booking must notify us in writing within 28 of your departure date.  We are only able to take action that has been brought to our attention during your stay, so we have the opportunity to solve the problems experience as fairly and effectively as possible.

Marketing Accuracy
Whilst every effort is made to ensure all our advertised products, services, prices and entertainment that is published in print in our brochures or on our website are correct at the time of publication, we reserve the right to make changes to suspend or withdraw any advertised prices, discounts, special offers, facility, service or entertainment.  The photography in our brochures on the website, or on our social media channels is intended for guidance only.

If you or any person for whom you are responsible causes damage to any property on the park or causes us loss, you must pay such a sum as is necessary to make good the damage or loss, including any sums we may expend in compensating other people.

We charge a Mandatory Security and Damages Deposit of £100.00 per caravan on all bookings made with us.  This covers any damage or security issues during your stay.  This is payable in cash upon arrival and is refunded up to 7 working days after your departure.
